The facility of Blocking and Un-blocking of E-way bills generation has been implemented by the Department w.e.f. 02-12-2019.
Those assessees who have not filed the GST Returns (GSTR 3B) for two consecutive periods, will not be allowed to generate E-way bills from the portal w.e.f. 02nd December 2019. Although, after filing the required pending Returns (3B), the generation facility will either be unblocked automatically on the Portal or the dealer can also submit a manual request to the Proper Officer to restore the E-way Bill Generation facility.
